Deandre Ayton is returning to the Suns’ lineup after serving a 25-game suspension, which should be an added boost to a talented young core. Ayton flashed his skills in his rookie season, so much so that Paul Pierce thinks they can be a playoff team this season with Ayton back in action.

They are just outside of the playoff picture, but with Devin Booker and Kelly Oubre Jr. off to good starts, the Phoenix Suns could be a young team to watch out for as the season progresses.

“I do think they are talent-wise a playoff team, and the bottom of the West is not really looking that good. This team is an exciting team to watch this year, and you’ve got guys that are stepping up. We all know Booker. We all know Kelly Oubre. He’s played well this year,” Pierce said. “I believe this is going to be a playoff team.”
