Kawhi Leonard was dominant on both ends of the floor all postseason long en route to Toronto’s first ever NBA championship. Leonard, in his first season with the Raptors, transformed a team that had fallen short so many times into a champion by leading the team with 30.5 points per game in the playoffs, making clutch plays down the stretch, and locking up opposing players on the defensive end.

His performance was so impressive that Paul Pierce considers it one of the greatest playoff runs by any player in the history of the NBA. Considering the Raptors took down the Golden State Warriors, a task not many believer was possible this year, it very well may go down in history as one of the all-time great playoff performances.

“This right here is one of the single greatest runs by an individual that I’ve seen in a very long time,” Pierce said. “I would compare this to Dirk Nowitzki because [Kawhi] only had one other All-Star on his team. If you look at the champions within the last 10-15 years, they all were super teams or had a Big Three or had three All-Stars.”
