Karl-Anthony Towns has struggled at the start of this season, and the Timberwolves as a team have had a cloud hanging over their heads as a result of the Jimmy Butler drama.

But Towns appears to be losing some of the confidence in his game that he has displayed during his first few years in the league as his numbers are down and he seems to be playing less aggressively. After air-balling a three against Toronto, he even asked to be taken out of the game. On The Jump, Paul discusses what he thinks is going on with Towns in Minnesota.

“This is not the KAT we saw last year, a guy who’s consistently giving you 20 and 10,” Pierce said. “I don’t if he’s unmotivated. I don’t know if Jimmy Butler, his situation hasn’t boiled over, but this is not the Karl-Anthony Towns that we saw a year ago.”
