The wild offseason saga between the Wolves and Jimmy Butler appears as if it will continue into the regular season since Butler still has yet to be traded by the Wolves. Butler continues to voice his frustrations with players, coaches and management, although the shooting guard is expected to suit up in the team’s opener on Wednesday.

However, Paul Pierce dished on The Jump as to why Butler should want to stay in Minnesota with a talented young core roster, specifically Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.

“My question is, ‘What makes him not want to be there?'” Pierce said. “You have a young core. You have a coach that you’re comfortable with, you can grow with. You’re the team leader. You’re going to get paid.”
