With the 2018 Hall of Fame induction ceremony approaching, The Truth took some time on The Jump to reflect on this stellar class of inductees, discussing some of the best qualities of players he looked up to and competed against in some of the biggest stages of his own career.
Paul said he often watched Grant Hill play at Duke, learning from one of the first ball-dominant forwards in the NBA, and he discussed the variety of ways Jason Kidd could break down a defense, as well as Steve Nash’s skills that won him two MVP awards in a stacked era.
“I remember as a rookie matching up against (Hill). He left me absolutely helpless,” Pierce said. “He was on his way to being the best player in the league in his prime. He was right there with Michael Jordan.”
