Danny Ainge joined The Jump prior to tip-off of the Celtics-Rockets tilt at TD Garden to discuss all things Celtics, including the current state of the team and Kyrie Irving’s comments regarding his desire to re-sign with Boston last year.

Of course, Kyrie moved on to join the Brooklyn Nets, but Ainge has no hard feelings towards Kyrie because he believes that the comments he made were his true feelings at the time.

“I was excited for Kyrie,” Ainge said. “Kyrie had a good first year with us, and then the second year, at that moment, I think everything was moving in a really good direction. It changed later in the year, but at that moment, he was really happy in Boston.”
