The Los Angeles Lakers finally hired their new coach, Frank Vogel, after weeks of drama surrounding their coaching search, and the drama likely won’t be ending any time soon with Jason Kidd being brought on as a high-profile assistant.
After Magic Johnson’s sudden departure and the unwillingness of top coaching candidates Ty Lue and Monty Williams to accept the Lakers job, Paul Pierce finds himself feeling bad for the situation LeBron is in to close out his career.
“I feel bad for LeBron at this stage of his career to be going through this,” Pierce said. “He wants to go out the right way and this is pitiful.”
