The Brooklyn Nets were one of the biggest surprises in the NBA this season, a team expected to be a bottom-dweller in the Eastern Conference. But, led by D’Angelo Russell, the Nets earned the No. 6 seed in the East and will be looking to challenge the Philadelphia 76ers in their first round series.

Paul thinks this team has the talent to make the series interesting, and if they are able to take Game 1, he believes they have a good chance to pull the upset.

“The Nets are playing with house money,” Pierce said. “If you give this team any kind of confidence – say they come out and get Game 1 – they can likely beat the Sixers.”
