Deandre Ayton is starting to flourish as a member of the Phoenix Suns and look like a No. 1 overall pick. In a recent win against the Milwaukee Bucks, Ayton notched a double-double, scoring 19 points to go along with 12 rebounds. And, he showed versatility on the defensive end, playing very effective defense on Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Paul thinks Ayton has been a steady player all season long so far, and he believes he has the potential to become one of the league’s greats in time as he develops and learns the NBA game.

“He has all the tools,” Pierce said. “I compare him to a young David Robinson. He has speed, he’s athletic, he’s that type of player.”
