Ray Allen and Paul Pierce were essential figures in the 2008 Boston Celtics championship team, along with Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins. They will be remembered as one of the truly great teams in NBA history, and this weekend Allen is set to enter the Hall of Fame.

On The Jump, The Truth congratulated his former teammate, who is the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers made with 2,973. Allen was one of the best shooters to ever play the game, and this weekend, he will be rightfully bestowed with basketball’s greatest honor.

“Everything he has gotten, he’s deserved,” Pierce said. “His name is going to be up there forever, and I congratulate you Ray.”
